Though it has yet to undergo an official mid-cycle refresh since its debut for the 2021 model year, the Ford Mustang Mach-E has received some notable updates as of late. That continues for the 2025 model year, as the Mach-E is getting updates including a standard heat pump, the new Sport Appearance Package, a few interior tweaks including a relocated shifter, the new Ford Connectivity Package, and soon, BlueCruise 1.5. Meanwhile, the Mach-E continues to face fresh competition in the heated EV crossover space, which now includes the refreshed 2025 Kia EV6.
On the outside, the 2025 Kia EV6 only gets a few subtle styling updates, with the most notable coming up front in the form of triangular-shaped headlights, coupled with a thin LED daytime running light and a trapezoidal geometric look for the lower portion of the fascia. The rear of the EV6 hasn’t changed much by comparison, but the taillights get new graphics and there are new wheel designs to choose from as well.
Inside the cabin, the 2025 Kia EV6 gets a larger, 12.3-inch infotainment screen (compared to the outgoing 12-inch unit), along with a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, a new steering wheel, and some other minor styling changes. The EV crossover is still being sold in four trims – Light, Wind, GT-Line, and GT – with the first three being offered with either rear- or all-wheel drive, while the high-performance GT is AWD only. For 2025, all get bigger battery packs, 63 kWh for the Light and 84 kWh for the rest – which helps boost range by nine miles over the 2024 models, to 319 for the RWD variants. On top of that, the 2025 Kia EV6 now comes equipped with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port.
In terms of output, the entry-level Light remains unchanged at 167 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque from a single motor, while mid-range RWD trims produce 225 horsepower and 258 pound-feet, and dual-motor AWD variants churn out 320 horsepower and 446 pound-feet. The GT gets more power than before – 601 horsepower in normal modes or 641 ponies in peak GT mode, along with either 545 or 568 pound-feet of torque – up from 460/545 previously. Pricing for the refreshed 2025 Kia EV6 hasn’t been announced yet, but production is slated to kick off in the first half of next year.
