2025 Lincoln Aviator Ditches Enhanced Security Package

The refreshed 2025 Lincoln Aviator debuted in early 2024, bringing a slew of updates and changes to the luxury crossover. Not only did it gain updated styling both inside and out, it also features brand new tech, including the Lincoln BlueCruise semi-autonomous driver assist system. However, those new features came at the cost of some others, and now, Ford Authority has learned that the Aviator is leaving its Enhanced Security Package behind.

Sources familiar with the matter told Ford Authority that the 2025 Lincoln Aviator will officially lose the Enhanced Security Package as part of Job 2 production, which is slated to kick off on November 25th, 2024 at the Chicago Assembly plant. That’s an about-face from units of the Aviator built under Job 1, which are fitted with the Enhanced Security Package as standard.

As a reminder, the Enhanced Security Package bundles vehicle security features to protect the Aviator while it’s parked. This includes Intrusion and Inclination Sensors, the Passive Anti-Theft System, and the Perimeter Alarm. With the package deleted, the 2025 Aviator only retains one of these features: Perimeter Alarm.

The 2025 Lincoln Aviator also ditches the rear door sunshades for Job 2, which will no longer be optional on the Reserve trim as part of the Luxury Package, which is standard on Black Label models. However, it does gain the new Black Label Moonbeam theme, which treats the luxury crossover to an ethereal cabin environment inspired by – you guessed it – the moon.

Though the Aviator has been in production since May 2024, the luxury crossover only recently began shipping out after spending a few months on a quality hold. This approach enabled FoMoCo to ensure the Aviator was free from major quality issues prior to delivery, aligning with its broader mission to enhance product quality.

Under the hood, the 2025 Aviator continues to harness the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 EcoBoost engine, which is good for the same 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque as the outgoing model.

  1. Ford/Lincoln really needs to ditch this BlueCruise feature. It isn’t needed, nor is something that people really seek out. Bring back the hybrid.

    1. Hybrids are for short commutes. I don’t drive a Lincoln as a commuter. It’s a long distance luxury highway cruiser/hauler.

I don’t car what is the price of gas, pffft.

  2. Drop the subscription for it. Blue Cruise is pretty neat.

  3. Love the blue cruise. Use it daily. Contrary to the above commentor – it IS what I sought out. Either go electric or stay gas. Hybrids are a waste.
