Ford Bronco Dark Trail Black Package Officially Revealed

At this year’s SEMA Show, Ford is showing off a variety of new packages that are either set to be offered as part of the new Ford Custom Garage lineup, or preview future additions that consist of a full array of upgrades for specific vehicles. The first two production-ready Ford Custom Garage packages are reserved for the Ford Bronco – the Matte Black and Sinister Bronze packages – though there are several others being previewed by various concept builds, such as the Bronco Wild Fund. Now, we can add another one to that list – the Ford Bronco Dark Trail package.

The Ford Bronco Dark Trail package isn’t part of the automaker’s SEMA lineup, specifically, but it is one of a handful of Ford Custom Garage packages that are being previewed ahead of that new line’s launch. Like the rest, it sports a very unique theme, which in this case adds a variety of dark elements to the silver exterior. Those include a matte black Bronco badge, a smoked Ford Oval, geometric rocker and hood graphics, and 17×8.5-inch Method Matte Black wheels with black lug nuts, which are wrapped with 315/70-17 Goodyear Territory mud-terrain tires.

In addition to those darker elements, the Ford Bronco Dark Trail package also includes a set of retro-style fender flares, an upgraded spare tire carrier out back, and a ProCal tire size calibration to ensure the speedometer is accurate. Making room for those large tires is a two-inch suspension lift from the folks at Ford Performance Parts, too, helping the Bronco Dark Trail live up to its name entirely.

The Ford Bronco Dark Trail is one of several Ford Vehicle Personalization project vehicles created by Ford Performance Parts and Accessories. That list also includes the Ford F-150 ORV concept, the F-150 FP700S package, the Ford Bronco Sport Blue Free Wheeling concept, as well as a custom 1969 Ford F-100 that’s packing an F-150 Raptor R-derived crate 5.2L V8 underhood with a massive 3.8L Whipple supercharger.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
