Since it debuted for the 2022 model year, the Ford Maverick has proven to be one of the most popular new vehicles on earth, largely thanks to the stellar value and excellent efficiency offered up by the compact pickup, along with its inherent utility. Given this popularity, the Maverick also tends to hold its value quite well, but it still has a lot to offer on the used vehicle market. In fact, the Ford Maverick Hybrid won a Best CPO (certified pre-owned) Value Award from Vincentric in 2024 in both the U.S. and Canada, and that was once again the case for 2025.
The Ford Maverick Hybrid has once again taken home some hardware, this time, as part of the 2025 Vincentric Best CPO Value in America Awards, as that particular model topped the small/mid-size pickup segment for the second straight year. The Ford Maverick Hybrid managed to do precisely that by presenting customers with the lowest total cost of ownership in its class – 14.4 percent below expected levels – along with the lowest fuel and operating costs, which helped it beat out seven other competitors.
To come up with this data, Vincentric measures the cost of ownership of a variety of used models via eight different cost factors – depreciation, fees & taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs. Using a statistical model, winners were identified by measuring which vehicles had lower than expected ownership costs given their market segment and price. Each vehicle was evaluated in all 50 states plus Washington D.C. using a range of annual mileage intervals and insurance profiles with the assumption that each would be driven 15,000 miles annually over five years.
“The Vincentric Best CPO Value in America Awards are designed to take the guess-work out of shopping for a certified pre-owned vehicle,” said Vincentric President, David Wurster. “Many consumers choose the route of a CPO vehicle to save money on the initial purchase price while still having the peace of mind of a manufacturer warranty. However, they may not know which models can continue to save them money into the future. Our awards can be used as a guideline to help consumers have confidence that their next vehicle purchase will deliver strong value, low ownership costs, or both.”

Thanks Ford, I just drove my Mavrick on a short trip today. I can’t complain about the 25.3 MPG. How much MPG do your Hybrids get ?
