Ford Maverick Sales Up 33 Percent In Q3 2024

Ford Maverick sales increased in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina during the third quarter of 2024, while recording 171 deliveries in Chile.

In the United States, Ford Maverick deliveries totaled 31,883 units in Q3 2024, an increase of about 33 percent compared to 23,931 units sold in Q3 2023.

In the first nine months of the year, Maverick sales increased about 64 percent to 108,996 units.

In Mexico, Ford Maverick deliveries totaled 659 units in Q3 2024, an increase of about 43 percent compared to 460 units sold in Q3 2023.

In the first nine months of the year, Maverick sales increased about 31 percent to 2,036 units.

In Brazil, Ford Maverick deliveries totaled 1,192 units in Q3 2024, an increase of about 187 percent compared to 416 units sold in Q3 2023.

Ford Maverick sales (see running Ford Maverick sales) grew 33 percent to 31,883 units in Q3 2024, up year-over-year but down from the previous quarter. The unibody compact pickup truck still far outsold its lone competitor in the space, the Hyundai Santa Cruz, well over four-to-one, which posted 7,226 deliveries as sales fell an even 20 percent.

From a segment share standpoint, Ford Maverick sales dominated yet again with an 82 percent share to the Santa Cruz’s 18 percent.

Overall, the compact pickup segment increased 19 percent to 39,109 units during Q3 2024, meaning Ford Maverick sales outperformed the segment average.

Ford Maverick sales during the third quarter of 2024 again showcases the compact pickup’s popularity, even beating out its bigger sibling, the Ford Ranger, and with the Ranger’s competitor, the Chevy Colorado, in terms of sales volume.

Maverick production at the Hermosillo Assembly plant in Mexico decreased in June and even more in July, although it significantly rebounded in August.

The 2024 Ford Maverick receives several changes and updates compared to its prior model year. The compact pickup dropped the 2.5L I4 hybrid engine as its standard engine option in favor of the 2.0L EcoBoost I4 gasoline powerplant. The Lariat trim was subject to notable changes too, gaining quite a few standard packages and features that were previously optional, while the off-road-focused Tremor replaced its optional appearance package with standard decals.

Furthermore, the 2025 Maverick Tremor gets upgraded to pickup’s top trim rather than as an optional upgrade package.

The 2025 Maverick drops four exterior colors and the Lariat as well as EcoBoost ditch front-wheel drive, with the turbocharged engine now only available with all-wheel drive.
