Ford Mobile Service Announced For South America

Ford Mobile Service launched via a pilot program a few years ago, and has quickly become a popular option for both retail and commercial customers, for obvious reasons – it’s much more convenient to have a Blue Oval tech come to one’s location rather than having to drive vehicles to a dealer for service, after all. Thus, over the past couple of years, Ford Mobile Service has quickly expanded across the U.S. and Europe, particularly among Ford Pro commercial customers. Now, that’s also set to be the case in South America, too.

Though Ford Pro has only existed in South America since 2021, the commercial business has expanded rapidly, which is precisely why The Blue Oval has decided to add Ford Mobile Service for customers in that part of the world, too. As is the case in other parts of the world, South America’s Ford Mobile Service will utilize specially-outfitted Transit vans as mobile workshops, heading to a customer’s location to perform maintenance such as changing oil, filters, fluids, lamps, and windshield wipers, as well as completing brake and battery services, service campaigns and recalls, tire rotation, scanning and diagnosis, software updates, and the installation of accessories.

Ford is the first automaker in Brazil to offer mobile service for customers in the light commercial vehicle segment, too. Ford Pro users can expect to begin scheduling mobile service appointments in Q1 2025 through the FordPass app, the automaker’s website, or via dealers located up to 30 kilometers (around 19 miles) away. However, customers can also reach out to a concierge if they’re past that point to schedule a mobile service appointment, too.

“The Ford Mobile Service can serve several vehicles on the same day and is another solution that improves customer productivity, in a convenient, agile and professional way to optimize their time and avoid interruptions in the operation of vehicles,” said Matias Guimil, Commercial Vehicle Strategy Manager at Ford South America. “In addition, it brings the safety of maintenance done by qualified technicians and with genuine parts.”

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
