FoMoCo Sales Notes – U.S. October 2024
- Total Ford Motor Company sales during October 2024 increased 15.2 percent to 172,756 units
- Electric vehicle sales totaled 6,264 units, down 8.3 percent
- Hybrid vehicles sales totaled 18,224 units, up 38.5 percent
- Internal combustion vehicle sales totaled 148,268 units, up 14.1 percent
- Truck sales increased 29.2 percent to 100,847 units
- SUV sales increased 2.3 percent to 69,221 units
- Car sales decreased 37.0 percent to 2,688 units
- Ford dominates fast growing hybrid truck segment with the first and second best-selling hybrid pickups on the market, Maverick and F-150 Hybrid respectively
- Ford hybrid pickup sales totaled 124,035 trucks though October, an increase of 48.9 percent with Ford representing a dominate 75% share of the hybrid pickup segment this year
- Ford Maverick hybrid sales totaled 62,678 trucks – up 46.9 percent, while the top-selling fullsize F-150 hybrid sales totaled 61,357 trucks – up 51.0 percent so far in calendar year 2024
- Ford truck sales were up 29.2 percent on total sales of 100,847 trucks, making Ford America’s No. 1 truck manufacturer for the month and year-to-date
- The entire F-Series lineup (including the F-150 Lightning) sales increased 26.1 percent over a year ago on sales of 67,483 trucks
- F-150 sales were up 22.9 percent, while sales of Super Duty were up 31.2 percent over last year
- The Ford Bronco family and new 2025 Explorer boost SUV sales
- Combined sales of Bronco and Bronco Sport totaled 19,219 deliveries for the month with sales up 46.6 percent
- Bronco had a strong sales month with sales more than double relative to a year ago and were up 26.7 percent over September’s results
- Ford’s new for 2025 Explorer sales totaled 17,145 units – up 3.1 percent for the month

Ford sales increased 14.2 percent to 163,407 units:
- Ford Bronco sales increased 104.72 percent to 9,837 units
- Ford Bronco Sport sales increased 12.95 percent to 9,382 units
- Ford E-Series sales decreased 10.98 percent to 3,755 units
- Ford E-Transit sales increased 181.14 percent to 1,088 units
- Ford Edge sales decreased 80.54 percent to 2,144 units
- Ford Escape sales increased 1.68 percent to 12,784 units
- Ford Expedition sales increased 11.97 percent to 5,267 units
- Ford Explorer sales increased 3.07 percent to 17,145 units
- Ford F-150 Lightning sales decreased 49.81 percent to 1,863 units
- Ford F-Series sales increased 31.78 percent to 65,620 units
- Ford Heavy Trucks sales decreased 7.98 percent to 1,084 units
- Ford Maverick sales increased 14.01 percent to 10,865 units
- Ford Mustang sales decreased 37.05 percent to 2,688 units
- Ford Mustang Mach-E sales increased 21.27 percent to 3,313 units
- Ford Ranger sales increased 1054.75 percent to 5,231 units
- Ford Transit sales increased 46.24 percent to 11,341 units
- Ford Transit Connect sales decreased 100 percent to 0 units
Lincoln sales increased 36.0 percent to 9,349 units:
- Lincoln Aviator sales increased 37.57 percent to 2,629 units
- Lincoln Corsair sales increased 14.24 percent to 2,688 units
- Lincoln Nautilus sales increased 116.39 percent to 2,852 units
- Lincoln Navigator sales decreased 8.67 percent to 1,180 units
During the first 10 months of the 2024 calendar year, Ford Motor Company sales increased 3.8 percent to 1,720,928 units.
