New vehicle inventory levels, in general, have soared to their highest level in years over the past few months – a dramatic turnaround compared to prior times, when dealer lots were essentially empty due to pandemic-related production issues and supply chain problems. That’s no longer the case, and in the realm of The Blue Oval, Ford and Lincoln have posted some of the highest inventory levels of any brand for months now – in fact, Ford had the highest 2024 model year inventory of any brand at the conclusion of October. In terms of individual models, the Ford Mustang Mach-E is also a far more common sight on dealer lots these days too, it seems.
According to new data from S&P Global Mobility, the Ford Mustang Mach-E had the highest inventory levels of any EV on the market in the U.S. at the conclusion of October, coming in at 16,976 units – not much more than the second-place Honda Prologue at 15,018 units, but far more substantial than the third-place Chevy Blazer EV at 10,347 units. However, Ford Mustang Mach-E inventory levels are at least 25.3 percent lower than last year, but they’ve also grown by 8.3 percent, month over month. Meanwhile, Prologue inventory grew by the largest margin of any EV from September, by 17 percent, but the Blazer experienced a massive jump of nearly 405 percent compared to last year.
Ford Mustang Mach-E inventory has remained high for some time now following a hot start when the EV crossover launched for the 2021 model year, and as such, we’ve seen that model get treated to a variety of incentives in an effort to whittle those numbers down. In fact, the entire lineup just became eligible for a zero percent financing for 72 months deal. Additionally, the Mach-E can also be financed for zero percent over 60 months and combined with up to $4,000 in additional incentives, too. The Rally trim is eligible for a Red Carpet Lease (RCL) Customer Cash offer for $3,000, while the rest of the lineup has been offered with a variety of discounts including bonus cash and conquest cash.

I had a Mustang Mach E in 2021, got rid of it 13 months later. Nothing but problems, after 45 years of only owning Fords. I now own 2 models of Genesis, very happy.
I have had a 2021 Mach-e for 3 years, not a single problem. Cool driving a Mustang faster than all others ever to market.
Given it’s the best selling EV in the US among the new players, heck for three years now, guess it is doing OK and Ford made a great EV right out the gate.
