Ford of Mexico has undergone a host of changes in recent years, and we aren’t just talking about The Blue Oval’s vehicle lineup in that part of the world. Rather, Ford of Mexico has also seen its fair share of leadership changes as of late, with Lucien Pinto taking over as president and CEO of Ford Mexico, Puerto Rico, Central America, and the Caribbean back in August, all while that division also looks to add a number of positions to its Global Data, Insight & Analytics department. Now, Ford of Mexico is undergoing another major personnel change atop its customer service division.
Following a 35-year career, at Ford of Mexico, Eduardo Alonzo, Director of Customer Service, has announced that he will retire. Alonzo began his career at Ford as an intern at the Cuautitlan plant, playing a big role in the relaunch of the automaker’s heavy truck program back in 1995, as well as the launch of the Ford F-150 (or Lobo) in Mexico. Alonzo also served as the general manager of Volvo in the integration with Ford of Mexico, and has spent time in areas such as Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Fleet Management over the past three and a half decades.
Alonzo will be succeeded by Sebastián Casanova, who has been with Ford for 18 years himself. Casanova started out as a quality analyst and has held a number of key managerial roles such as Global Distributor Training Management, obtaining plenty of experience in customer service along the way. Earlier this year, Casanova assumed the position of director of Dealer Engagement & CX at Ford of Mexico.
Over the course of Casanova’s career at Ford, he became the youngest director of Lincoln for Mexico, Puerto Rico, Central America, and the Caribbean back in 2021, and he has accumulated key experience in sales, marketing, customer service and engineering, coupled with his degrees in Industrial Engineering, Masters in Business Management, and Business Administration.
