By comparison, shares of General Motors decreased in value by $1.11, or about two percent, during the same timeframe.

The drop in Ford share value during the week follows a less than one percent increase from last week, which in turn followed a four percent increase during the preceding five day trading period.

Ford released its Q3 earnings during the week, where the automaker outlined revenue of $46 billion and a net income of $0.9 billion. The company adjusted EBIT stands at $2.6 billion.

Ford share values are now 15 percent lower when compared to the first day of trading in 2024. Wall Street continues to grapple with how it should evaluate legacy automakers in the wake of the ongoing EV transition. That said, Ford has frequently shifted its EV product plans and goals, likely adding to skepticism from investors. It has now settled on an “everything for everyone” approach to its lineup that gives buyers a choice between gas, hybrid, and all-electric vehicles.
