As Ford Authority previously reported, the 2024 Ford F-150 brought forth a host of updates for the popular pickup as part of its latest mid-cycle refresh, but those updates came at a bit of a cost. In fact, the 2024 F-150 received a price increase across the entire trim level lineup, increasing anywhere from $1,205 all the way up to $10,505, depending on the series. This has been the case with most all new vehicles over the past few years, so it wasn’t entirely surprising, but now that the market is cooling, certain trims of the 2025 Ford F-150 are getting cheaper.

While these 2025 Ford F-150 price changes aren’t necessarily heading downward for every trim, there are some key differences worth noting. For starters, the base XL trim is now $1,645 pricier at $38,710, but the STX has dropped by $1,185 compared to 2024. The same is true of the popular XLT, which has received a price drop of $2,235, as well as the also-popular Lariat, as it is $2,235 cheaper than before. The rest of the lineup is a bit pricier, however, though not by much, with increases ranging from $365 to $860. While we’re used to seeing vehicles get price increases with each passing model year these days – and sometimes, multiple jumps in a year – the 2025 Ford Bronco is standing pat, too.
Coming off a mid-cycle refresh for 2024, the 2025 Ford F-150 isn’t undergoing any major changes, as one would expect. Regardless, the 2025 F-150 is deleting the factory-installed SecuriCode keypad, though it’s still available as a dealer-installed option. The 2025 Ford F-150 will also no longer come standard with the factory Connected Navigation feature on the XL and STX trims, which was previously standard across the 2024 F-150 lineup. Additionally, the 2025 Ford F-150 XLT will only offer Connected Navigation on the Mid (302A) and High (303A) equipment groups, though in that case, it does include a one-year trial for the service.
Additionally, the 2025 Ford F-150 has dropped the previously-available Heritage Edition, which debuted back in June of 2022 for the 2023 model year as a bit of a retro throwback, and has also ditched its three-year BlueCruise subscription option. Finally, the 2025 Ford F-150 lineup is deleting a pair of exterior color options – Avalanche and Darkened Bronze Metallic. As Ford Authority previously reported, 2025 Ford F-150 production is scheduled to kick off at the Dearborn Truck plant on November 12th, followed by the Kansas City Assembly plant on December 9th – though as is always the case, these dates are subject to change.

I’m not knocking the drops, but all automakers are doing exactly this type of thing – the increases balance out the drops – in the hope that we won’t notice. Same that many (most?) dealers are pretending it’s still 2021 and their sh*t don’t stink.
It’s a start but FAR from the end.
