Kindred Motorworks Reveals Black ICE Edition Ford Bronco

Kindred Motorworks just can’t keep its hands off the Ford Bronco. The company has a penchant for restomods, and recently pulled the veil off its electric first-gen Bronco build, but it also built an off-road-ready internal combustion engine (ICE) Bronco with the perfect blend of classic styling and modern technology. Kindred has now revealed another ICE-based Bronco with the clever Black ICE Edition moniker.

The Black Ice Edition Ford Bronco will be an extremely limited run, with just five units built. It sources its power from the 5.0L Coyote V8, and is based on the Bronco Trail Edition model produced by the company. It also features Black Ice paint with a full gloss finish, blacked-out wood interior elements, Black ICE Edition build plates, blacked-out exterior badging, and 18-inch Method forged aluminum wheels in black.

Other standout features include the front impact bumper with an integrated Warn Zeon 10-S winch, along with a rear impact bumper with a hitch and tire carrier built right in. It also gets four-wheel disc brakes for maximum stopping power, BFGoodrich All-Terrain TA KO2 tires, and LED lighting all around. Inside, passengers enjoy Recaro leather bucket seats with headrests and three-point safety belts, cupholders, a backup camera, power windows, and top-notch audio with a subwoofer built right in.

“Offering the Bronco Black ICE is a fun way to give our customers something a little different while staying true to our manufacturing approach,” said Kindred Motorworks founder and CEO Rob Howard. “It’s our first limited edition, and we’re thrilled to get it out there as our own Black Friday special. Given how much we enjoyed developing the package, it certainly won’t be the last special edition that rolls out of our Mare Island facility.”

The Black ICE Ford Bronco will go on sale on Black Friday – that is, November 29th, 2024 at 8 a.m. EST. It retails for a cool $214,000, and the first three builds will be delivered to their buyers in Q1 2025. The subsequent fourth and fifth Broncos will be delivered in Q2 next year.
