Michigan Dealers Create Detroit Lions Special Edition Ford F-150

Given the fact that the Ford family owns the Detroit Lions, and that the automaker’s headquarters is located in the same part of Michigan, it’s no surprise that The Blue Oval and the NFL team have shared some moments together in recent years, too. When the Lions rebounded from many years of losing seasons to reach the NFC Championship game last year, Ford celebrated by lighting up the sky with their logo at Michigan Central Station, and CEO Jim Farley was also in attendance at Ford Field for an earlier playoff win as well. With the Lions once again playing well this year – and sporting uniforms inspired by Ford Motor Company – one Ford dealer is celebrating with a special edition Ford F-150, too.

According to Automotive News, the new Detroit Lions Special Edition 2024 Ford F-150 features a variety of unique touches that pay homage to the hometown NFL team, including Detroit Lions logos on the exterior and interior, along with Honolulu Blue accents on the grille, mirror, tow hooks, and tailgate. Inside the cabin, one will find the Lions logo embroidered on the headrests, along with a custom interior badge with a serialized production number – just 800 units are being built for Southeast Michigan, which means that this package should be somewhat collectible, too.

These Detroit Lions Special Edition 2024 Ford F-150 pickups are based on the XLT trim with the 302A Black Appearance Package, with power coming from the twin turbocharged 3.5L V6 PowerBoost Hybrid engine. Otherwise, a variety of exterior color options are available – in this case, there’s currently an Agate Black and Iconic Silver pickup for sale at Bob Maxey Ford, specifically.

The limited-production Detroit Lions Special Edition 2024 Ford F-150 package costs a reasonable $995, but Bob Maxey Ford is also offering customers interested in one a rather special deal – If they trade in their existing vehicle for one before the end of the year, they’ll get $750 off, which drops the cost of the package to just $245. Not a bad deal we’d say, especially for those die-hard Ford and Detroit Lions fans out there.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
