Though the previous-generation Ford GT was offered in a number of special variants over its years in production, few can measure up to the Studio Collection, which offered a very select number of customers a handful of special customization options. Across the 2021 and 2022 model years, just 40 Ford GT Studio Collection models were sold to the public, each with unique graphics and either seven standard exterior colors or an extended palette. Given its rarity, we don’t see many Ford GT Studio Collection examples pop up for sale very often, making this 2021 model quite special.
This 2021 Ford GT Studio Collection is up for auction right now at Bring a Trailer with just 34 miles on the clock, and it’s one of only 20 produced for that particular model year. The Frozen White sports car is chock full of options – such as the Light Speed Interior Package, Gloss Exterior Carbon-Fiber Package, Lightning Blue mirror caps, 20-inch satin silver-painted forged wheels, and six-point safety harness anchors – which total roughly $60k in extras, giving it an eye-opening MSRP of $651,450, though bids exceeded that price pretty early on in the process.
Inside the cabin, one will find blue Alcantara-covered Sparco seats with manually reclining carbon-fiber shells, exposed carbon fiber door panels, an adjustable pedal box and steering column, automatic climate control, and a touchscreen infotainment system. Paint protection film is present not only across the entire exterior, but also, the doorsills and rear center console, too.
As is the case with all Ford GTs from this generation, this one is powered by the twin turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine, factory-rated to produce 660 horsepower and 550 pound-feet of torque, which flows to the rear wheels via a Getrag seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. These days, we routinely see Ford GT models from this generation sell for well north of a million dollars, so it’s pretty much a lock that this one will rake in huge money – making it an auction worth watching, even for those of us that can’t possibly dream of shelling out that kind of cash for a car.
