Long before the sixth-generation Ford Bronco debuted for the 2021 model year, rumors pertaining to a possible truck variant swirled, and it made perfect sense, given the fact that the Bronco’s chief rival – the Wrangler – is offered in pickup form via the Gladiator. However, FoMoCo had a hard enough time building enough Broncos to meet demand early on, and wound up canceling that project. Since then, a few individuals and aftermarket companies have built their own Ford Bronco pickup truck anyway, but now, SoFlo Customs is offering one for interested customers, too.
The new SoFlo Customs Ford Bronco pickup truck – nicknamed “Stud” – costs $65,000, not including the donor vehicle, and is already available to purchase. The Stud is based on a four-door Bronco SUV, but is underpinned by an upgraded frame that’s 16 inches longer than the standard model, which helps make room for a four-foot bed out back. This particular example also features a bevy of upgrades including widebody fenders, an armored exterior shell, aluminum bumpers, and a five-inch lift, with both 38- and 40-inch tire options available.
On top of all that, this Ford Bronco pickup truck is equipped with a weatherproof interior for those times when one is riding around with the top and/or doors off, and SoFlo offers an array of convertible roof and roll cage options – one of which we can see here. Regardless of what option they go with, the top and doors are fully removable, just like the stock Bronco SUV, so owners can enjoy the full open-air experience with the added utility of a bed.
“We’re excited to introduce these one-of-a-kind vehicles to the pickup truck ravenous market,” said Joseph Ghattas, Founder and CEO of SoFlo Customs and its sister company, Apocalypse Manufacturing. “These vehicles are Just The Tip of our creativity. At the end of the day, if I love driving it, then I’m sure my customers will love driving it too – that’s honestly why I decided to put these builds into production.”
