Traxxas Debuts Ford Bigfoot Monster Truck RC Car: Video

Traxxas has plenty of neat Blue Oval-inspired remote control toys for sale, like the Ford Bronco TRX-4 and Ford Bronco Raptor TRX-4M, as well as a 1/10 scale Ford GT RC car and a Ford F-150 TRX-4M. The RC company’s latest creation is the Ford Bigfoot 4X4 BL-2S, a tough little truck ready for just about anything that can be thrown at it.

The Ford Bigfoot monster truck is based on the real deal, but its body style seems to be borrowed from a newer truck. Whatever, the case, it features a similar paint scheme to the real-life Bigfoot machine and even sports a set of 1980s-inspired tricolor graphics along its sides, the classic “Bigfoot” chrome-style script, and plenty of sponsor logos plastered on its body and chassis.

Under that colorful clipless body, the RC Bigfoot monster truck features an extreme HD 4X4 driveline, with a shaft-driven four-wheel-drive (4WD) system and rear steel-gear differentials that handle the brushless motor’s torque. That BL-2S brushless power system doesn’t need as much maintenance as traditional brushed power systems. The clipless body can be easily removed for acces if the truck does need some work done, though.

The Ford Bigfoot monster truck also features a wheelie bar, meaty tires, and oil-filled Ultra Shocks that can be tuned for any application. The long-travel suspension keeps the RC truck steady over major jumps, while the adjustable battery hold-down keeps the battery securely in place without sacrificing style. Along with the digital high-torque waterproof steering servo, waterproof receiver box, and three-channel receiver that automatically returns the throttle to neutral when it’s out of range, this tough little truck is ready for off-roading right out of the box.

The Ford Bigfoot monster truck will hit stores on December 6th, 2024, and retails for a cool $349.99. Interested buyers can browse the RC truck on the Traxxas website.
