Unlike its predecessors, the last-generation Ford Thunderbird debuted during a time when a lot of folks were keen to stash them away with the hopes of one day selling those vehicles for a tidy profit, which has long been the case with unique, special, or rare vehicles. The very last Ford Thunderbird is indeed a unique machine with decidedly retro-modern styling, and luckily for fans of that model, there are loads of them out there with scant few miles on the clock, ripe for the taking. The latest example is this – a 2003 Ford Thunderbird with a mere 1,600 miles on the odometer.
This 2003 Ford Thunderbird remained with its original owner until earlier this year, when it was acquired by the selling dealer – and now, it’s up for grabs at Bring a Trailer. As such, the car remains in amazing condition with nice Evening Black paint, though a paint correction was performed to remove any potential imperfections. Regardless, it looks like new with a color-matched removable hardtop, as well as the original 17-inch seven-spoke chrome wheels.
Inside the cabin, one will find black leather-trimmed power-adjustable seats with red inserts, plus amenities such as dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, and an AM/FM stereo with an in-dash CD changer. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 3.9L V8, which in this guise was factory-rated to generate 280 horsepower and 286 pound-feet of torque, flowing to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission.
Over the past few months, we’ve come across plenty of other low-mile last-generation Ford Thunderbird models, a list that includes a 2002 with just 20 miles on the clock, another 2002 with 54 miles, and a 2005 with 1k miles – not to mention countless others that preceded them, all in stellar condition.

No link, no mention of the auction site. Why bother talking about it if interested parties can’t find it? Instead you link old articles that nobody cares about. Just sayin…
