The Ford Mustang Mach-E has been on sale in Brazil since October 2023, and is one of just a few recent additions to that lineup that have resulted in record sales in the South American country. At that time, FoMoCo only offered the EV crossover in one guise – the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition – which also happens to be the quickest of the bunch with a 0-62 mph time of 3.7 seconds. Now, the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition has arrived in Brazil bearing a few updates for customers in that part of the world.
The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance is now available in a new exterior color dubbed Glacial Gray, in addition to the existing Black Asturias, Red Zadar, Blue Algarve, and White Nur hues. It utilizes a pair of 487 horsepower electric motors – one at each end – to drive all four wheels, and still does 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds, as before. Underneath, one will find a set of MagneRide dampers, Brembo brakes, and 20-inch wheels, which are wrapped with 245/45R20 tires.
The Mach-E GT Performance Edition is equipped with a 91 kWh battery pack that delivers 379 kilometers (236 miles) of range using the Inmetro standard, or 541 kilometers (336 miles) using Europe’s WLTP method. Owners can charge at home using Ford’s 7 kW portable Wallbox charger that comes with the vehicle, too. Otherwise, customers will find familiar features including LED headlights, a 360-degree camera, full FordPass integration, a 15.5-inch infotainment screen, a sunroof, and the premium B&O sound system. Pricing remains unchanged too, as the Brazilian 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance still starts out at R$486,000 ($78,485 USD).
“The Mustang Mach-E is a unique car in several aspects. Its design combines classic Mustang elements with an innovative format, which stands out for the unprecedented pattern of versatility in everyday life,” says Dennis Rossini, Ford Marketing Manager. “In addition to carrying five passengers, it adds 541.5 liters of cargo space in the rear trunk and in the ‘frunk,’ extra compartment under the hood.”
