The redesigned 2025 Ford Expedition brought a plethora of changes and updates to the full-size SUV, changing the game with features like the Ford Split Gate and integrated rear seat tablet holder. Today, Ford Authority sheds some light on a more mundane aspect of the Expedition, but just as important, as we examine all available wheels for the overhauled SUV.
Each trim level gets its own wheel options, and some are exclusively available as part of optional packages. The 2025 Ford Expedition Active Low and XL trims get the 18-inch by 8.5-inch Dark Alloy painted aluminum wheels as standard, while the 20-inch by 8.5-inch Carbonized Gray Bright Machined Aluminum wheels are standard on the Active High Package. Meanwhile, the all-new Tremor trim gets 18-inch by 8.5-inch Dark Carbonized Gray painted aluminum wheels with Electric Spice Pockets as standard.
The 2025 Ford Expedition Platinum, meanwhile, gets the 20-inch x 8.5-inch Ebony Bright Machined aluminum wheels, while the 22-inch by 9.0-inch Magnetite painted aluminum wheels are bundled into the $6,545 Stealth Performance Package offered on the 2025 Expedition Platinum. The 22-inch x 9.0-inch Ebony Painted aluminum wheels are also available, included in the Stealth Appearance Package, a $3,570 standalone option for Platinum-trimmed models.
The 22-inch x 9.0-inch Ebony Bright Machined Face aluminum wheels are a part of the Driver’s Package, a $2,810 option on the Platinum trim. The 24-inch x 9.5-inch Tarnished Dark Metallic Bright Machined Face aluminum wheels are included in the Platinum Ultimate Package, offered on the Expedition Platinum that goes for $13,570. Finally, the 22-inch x 9.0-inch Sinister Bronze with Diamond Cut Machined Face aluminum wheels are standard on King Ranch trimmed models.
The 2025 Expedition is also one of the few models in The Blue Oval’s lineup to retain its factory keyless entry keypad. However, it’s quite a bit pricier than the outgoing model. It also gets two new colors – Space Silver Metallic and Glacier Gray Metallic Tri-Coat – For reference, the base Active model starts at $61,700, not including destination freight charges, which is over $2,000 more expensive than what the same trim cost for the 2024 model year.
Production of the 2025 Expedition, which is handled at the Kentucky Truck plant, is scheduled to kick off in early January 2025, as reported by Ford Authority.
