2025 Ford Explorer ST In Vapor Blue: Gallery

The 2025 Ford Explorer underwent a significant midcycle refresh for the latest model year, revamping the crossover to make it a more formidable competitor in its segment. For buyers in search of a sportier variant of the crossover, there’s the ST trim, and today, Ford Authority highlights the 2025 Ford Explorer ST thanks to the following photo gallery.

The 2025 Ford Explorer ST gets a set of unique exterior touches that make it instantly recognizable. Starting with the front end, the crossover gets a blacked-out grille with a black mesh insert, which is flanked by LED headlights and wide lower intakes. The model pictured here is painted in Vapor Blue Metallic, which is an all-new color that costs $495 extra on the crossover.

There are even more blacked-out elements decorating the side of the 2025 Ford Explorer ST. It gets gloss black sideview mirror caps and skid plates in both the front and the rear, along with door sill scuff plates emblazoned with the Ford Performance logo. It rolls on a set of 21-inch Magnetite painted aluminum wheels wrapped in 21-inch BSW all-season tires.

Finally, out back, the Explorer ST features quad chrome exhaust tips. Other notable upgrades include the twin-turbocharged 3.0L EcoBoost V6, fed by the 20.2-gallon fuel tank, and the sport-tuned suspension.

The interior of the 2025 Explorer ST also features quite a few notable upgrades compared to other trim levels. It gets ambient lighting as standard, along with special interior finishes, like the ebony colored headliner and overhead console.

It also gets Explorer branded floor mats up front, as well as sport captain’s chairs with the ST logo stitched in. The seats are heated and ventilated up front, while second-row passengers can take advantage of rear heated seats as well. Even the steering wheel is heated and emblazoned with the ST logo.

The 2025 Ford Explorer ST also offers Ford BlueCruise, and buyers of the crossover get a 90-day free trial of the advanced driver assist feature. Rain-sensing wipers are also standard. Certain models also get the Sun and Sound Package, which was recently added as part of Job 2 production, and it’s one of the few Blue Oval vehicles to feature the factory SecuriCode keypad.

  1. Interesting that this same color, or one very similar, is no cost on the Escape. Ripoff! Ford has the worst color palette on the planet. And, when Ford (and GM) finds a new, attractive, non-“boring-4” color, they overcharge for it and then it goes away due to lack of interest. Great management.

    1. Agreed. Having to pay for a paint color is one of the reasons (amongst others) I’m totally turned to buying a new vehicle, at this time. I can understand why bespoke colors cost extra on exotics, but for a standard production vehicle where all paint is applied in the same way, this is ridiculous.
