2025 Ford Maverick Pickups Have Arrived At U.S. Dealers

The 2025 Ford Maverick debuted at the end of July, ushering in the compact pickup’s very first refresh since it launched for the 2022 model year. The Maverick is receiving quite a few updates as part of that mid-cycle action, including some exterior styling revisions, a newly standard 13.2-inch infotainment screen, and the debut of the all-new, street performance-focused Lobo model. Now, several months later, it seems as if 2025 Ford Maverick pickups are officially reaching dealers and customers in the U.S., too.

Taking a quick stroll through Reddit, we can see that several folks have already taken delivery of their 2025 Ford Maverick pickup, and a nationwide search at Autotrader also turns up nearly 4,200 examples, many of which are in stock at dealers and not in transit, too. Thus, it’s safe to say that those looking to purchase a refreshed 2025 Ford Maverick should be able to find one nearby, and inventory figures to only grow moving forward as well.

In addition to the aforementioned changes, the 2025 Ford Maverick equipped with the turbocharged 2.0L I-4 EcoBoost engine is actually down 12 horsepower versus its predecessor – 238 compared to 250 for the outgoing model, as Ford Authority previously reported. This drop is due to the presence of a new gas particulate filter, which helps the pickup meet emissions requirements as it’s placed in a vehicle’s exhaust system to trap pollutants and keep them from exiting the vehicle and harming the environment.

All of these changes do come at a cost, as the 2025 Ford Maverick has been treated to price increases ranging from $875 to as much as $7,010 for the Tremor, which is now its own trim level based on the Lariat versus the optional package that it was before. However, when compared to its sole rival – the Hyundai Santa Cruz – the Maverick is still a solid value, and in some cases, is significantly cheaper.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  5. The 25 model is equipped with a GPF similar to a diesel DPF. And is said to reduce HP due to added back pressure. This could have been rectified by going back to multiport fuel injection which would have given the same HP and much lower soot level. It is said that Direct Injection produces more HP but causes a lot of soot to be produced. Why not reduce the complexity and increase reliability and go back to multiport injection.

    1. Would have considered Ranger if Ford would stop dissing Americans and offer the Phev version here vs only in Australia.

    1. Worried about that myself, possibly this Lariat tan/blue might be ok paired w Sand or Azure, but might be covering them.. Ford should give at least 2 color choices. W/0 requiring an entire package to switch to the black.
