The 2025 Ford Mustang not only marks the second model year of the pony car’s seventh generation, it stands as a milestone anniversary for the long-running model. The first Mustang was released six decades ago, and for the model’s 60th birthday, FoMoCo released the aptly titled 60th Anniversary Edition. This package dresses the muscle car with aesthetic exclusives. Ford Authority takes a closer look at the special pony in the following photo gallery.
The 2025 Ford Mustang GT with the 60th Anniversary Package gets all of the trim’s standard equipment, including Approach Detection with Welcome/Farewell exterior lighting, bringing the vehicle to life when the driver approaches or walks away from it. However, opting for the package does remove the standard wedge decklid spoiler, lending a more streamlined look to the pony car.
Up front, it gets the painted High Gloss Black Honeycomb grille, complete with Iconic Silver inserts, while its LED headlamps are outlined with a thick black bezel. The ensemble includes Silver painted mirror caps, while unique side stripes feature the Anniversary Accent, leading the eye along the lower door of the 2025 Ford Mustang GT.
Said stripes can be finished in either silver or red, depending on customer preference, although in this case, they’re red. It pairs nicely with the Wimbledon White paint worn by this model, which is a classic color exclusively offered in conjunction with the Anniversary Edition – although Brittany Blue is also offered on an extremely limited basis.
The 2025 Ford Mustang GT 60th Anniversary Edition also features 20 by 9-inch Bright Machined aluminum wheels, which are exclusive to the model.
Aside from the addition of the 60th Anniversary Edition, the 2025 Ford Mustang only gets a handful of other changes and updates. That includes the deletion of wireless phone charging, while it gains standard dual-zone climate control, along with a new color known as Molten Magenta. Pricing is much more expensive than the 2024 model year, as Ford Authority previously reported that all V8-powered models got a significant price bump.
Production of the 2025 Ford Mustang began on on November 4th, 2024 at the Flat Rock Assembly plant.
