Designed from the get-go to be completely modular and easy to modify or customize, the sixth-generation Ford Bronco has spawned a massive amount of aftermarket support – as well as a bevy of options from The Blue Oval itself. These days, it’s easy to find upgrades for the rugged SUV and the high-performance Ford Bronco Raptor, many of which can be ordered directly from Ford and installed by a dealer, then supported by a factory warranty. Now, we have another part to add to that ever-growing list.
That part is a differential cover for the Ford Bronco Raptor, which was just added to the Ford Performance catalog under part number M-4033-DR. This differential cover is only compatible with the Ford Bronco Raptor (though a similar part can be had for the regular Bronco under part number M-4033-BR), and it’s designed to better protect that model, which comes equipped with the M235 rear axle.
This differential cover is made from cast iron and features Ford Performance branding, and is powder coated, to boot. It comes with new fasteners and a gasket, providing owners with an upgrade in terms of durability and looks, all for a cost of $215. On top of that, it’s pretty easy to install as well, as most owners could complete the job in their own garage with basic tools.
This Ford Bronco Raptor differential cover is just the latest of many parts FoMoCo has added to its catalog for owners of that and regular Bronco models. Most recently, that list also included a calibration for the Bronco Raptor and Ford Ranger Raptor that adds a significant amount of power to the the twin turbocharged 3.0L V6 EcoBoost engine that both utilize, as well as a heavy-duty modular front bumper for non-Raptor Bronco models that’s identical to the piece that is optional from the factory.

I got a similar cast iron diff cover for my 2018 F150. Same exact cover for 96.00, Spicer branded vs 200.00+ for the Ford branded one.
Just out of curiousity, why is a cast iron diff cover needed instead of the stamped steel cover? What advantage does it offer?
The cast iron will take more abuse than the stamped steel unit. Think off roading and potential of denting the stamped unit with an unplanned impact.
