The Ford Escape has long been a popular choice among not only new vehicle shoppers, but also, those looking for a solid used vehicle as well. Aside from competing in one of the most popular segments in the automotive realm – the compact crossover space – the Ford Escape also provides quite a bit in regard to bang for the buck, which is precisely why used vehicle shoppers tend to gravitate toward that particular model, year in and year out. That was once again the case throughout the course of 2024 as well, it seems.
Carvana just released its list of the best-selling used vehicles of 2024, and the Ford Escape ranked fourth on the list this time around, behind only the Tesla Model 3, Chevy Equinox, and Nissan Rogue. The Ford Escape also beat out the Ford Explorer, Toyota Camry, Honda Civic, Nissan Altima, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Ford F-150 SuperCrew to round out this particular list. Interestingly, the Model 3 wasn’t even in Carvana’s top 20 last year, but with prices plummeting and inventory rising, it made quite the jump year-over-year.

The Ford Escape has long ranked on more than one list of the most popular used vehicles on the market, dating back to 2022, when the crossover landed on iSeeCars’ list in ninth place – behind only the Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, Ram 1500, Chevy Equinox, Honda Civic, Toyota Camry, Toyota RAV4, and Nissan Rogue. It fell to 13th among all used models on the same list in 2023, and then wound up on Consumer Reports’ most popular used vehicles list for the fall of 2024, too.
