Ford Mustang GT Manual Heads To Brazil In 2025

The Ford Mustang GT may be a distinctly American entity – as well as a bit of an endangered species as a V8-powered vehicle with an available manual transmission – but the iconic pony car has long been on sale in various other parts of the world, too. That includes Brazil, where the redesigned 2024 Ford Mustang GT Performance model launched in the South American country earlier this year and promptly sold out in record time. The initial batch of Ford Mustang GT models in Brazil were only available with the 10-speed automatic transmission, but next year, customers will gain another choice as sales of that model continue to grow.

That choice is the Ford Mustang GT equipped with the six-speed manual gearbox, which is slated to launch in Brazil in 2025 as part of the pony car’s 60 anniversary celebration. The manual Mustang will only be offered “in a limited edition, as a collectible item,” according to the automaker, though it hasn’t yet shared how many will be available, nor how much it will cost. “The Mustang is the last representative and the maximum expression of ‘muscle cars’ in the global industry. The manual transmission reinforces its connection with sportiness and pure driving excitement,” said Dennis Rossini, Ford’s Marketing Manager.

Currently, the 2024 Ford Mustang GT Performance model is the only one available in Brazil, which means that it comes equipped with an array of desirable equipment. That starts with what’s under the hood – the 5.0L V8 Coyote engine, which in this guise generates 488 horsepower, and it’s mated exclusively to the 10-speed automatic transmission, along with the Remote Rev feature, which FoMoCo’s Brazilian engineering team helped develop.

Other notable mechanical upgrades include the MagneRide suspension system, stabilizer bars taken from the last-gen Mach 1, Brembo brakes with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers, and unique wheels wrapped with P-Zero 255/40 R19 tires up front and 275/40 R19 in the rear. The Brazilian 2024 Ford Mustang GT Performance is available in eight colors – Zadar Red, Arizona Red, Estoril Blue, Algarve Blue, Arctic White, Torres Gray, Catalonia Gray, and Asturias Black – and features a starting price of R$529,000 ($106,235 USD).

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
