Ford Trucks Win 2025 Best CPO Value Award

Ford Motor Company absolutely cleaned house in the 2025 Vincentric Best CPO (certified pre-owned) Value in America Awards, sweeping eight total awards in the latest rankings. Four Ford trucks were own top in their respective classes, so it’s no surprise that The Blue Oval’s pickups took home the award in the Best CPO Value Truck Brand for the fifth time overall.

As a reminder, in order to determine winners, Vincentric takes a look at the cost of ownership of a variety of used models via eight different cost factors: depreciation, fees & taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs. Using a statistical model, winners are identified by measuring which vehicles had lower than expected ownership costs given their market segment and price. Each vehicle was evaluated in all 50 states plus Washington D.C. using a range of annual mileage intervals and insurance profiles with the assumption that each would be driven 15,000 miles annually over five years.

That means that Ford trucks tend to be cost-effective buys, putting The Blue Oval on top compared to all of its competitors. Specifically, the Ford F-250 Super Duty brought home a victory in the full-size 3/4 ton pickup space, the Ford Maverick Hybrid topped the small/mid-size pickup segment, the Ford F-150 Lightning took home top honors in the full-size half-ton pickup space, and the Ford F-350 Super Duty walked away in sole possession of the 1-ton pickup division award.

Beyond the Ford trucks’ domination, The Blue Oval picked up several other individual awards. The Ford Expedition won the Large SUV class, Ford E-Transit 350 claimed the win in the Large Cargo Van division, and the Transit Connect finished first in the Small Commercial Passenger Van and Small Commercial Cargo Van segments.

“The Vincentric Best CPO Value in America Awards are designed to take the guess-work out of shopping for a certified pre-owned vehicle,” said Vincentric President, David Wurster. “Many consumers choose the route of a CPO vehicle to save money on the initial purchase price while still having the peace of mind of a manufacturer warranty. However, they may not know which models can continue to save them money into the future. Our awards can be used as a guideline to help consumers have confidence that their next vehicle purchase will deliver strong value, low ownership costs, or both.”
