Joey Logano Among Ultimate Ford Raptor Challenge Participants

Ford’s big motorsports push over the past few years has resulted in quite a bit of fruit in the form of race and championship wins, but the automaker isn’t quite finished yet. In fact, Ford Performance has much more in mind for the coming year, whether that be tackling a host of motorsports series across the globe, providing customers with more post-purchase experiences, or launching new, exciting performance-focused models, too. Now, the latest such endeavor is what’s known as the Ultimate Ford Raptor Challenge, which will feature NASCAR racer Joey Logano, among some other notable names.

In this teaser video from Ford Performance, we learn that the Ultimate Ford Raptor Challenge will be hosted by YouTuber James Pumphrey, and it will star Joey Logano, Formula Drift racer James Deane, and former NASCAR racer turned Indy NXT series participant Hailie Deegan, too. Otherwise, the automaker didn’t provide too many details about this particular showdown, though Pumphrey does say that it will involve all three Ford Raptor models battling it out off-road to see which one is the most capable, it seems. The show is set to debut on January 2nd, 2025, so we won’t have to wait much longer to find out, either.

This is just the latest Raptor-centered project we’ve seen from Ford, which recently included the very first Raptor Rally, inviting owners of Ford Ranger Raptor, Ford Bronco Raptor, and Ford F-150 Raptor models to bring them out to Utah for some off-road fun. Regardless, it’ll be interesting to see how these same vehicles fair with a host of experienced racers behind the wheel, especially since Joey Logano just wrapped up his third Cup Series championship, and James Deane claimed the overall 2024 Formula Drift Championship, too.

  1. Ford needs to be putting more effort into simplicity and reliability than capability. Especially with there reputation for reliability.
