Most Expensive 2025 Ford Maverick Costs $44K

The refreshed 2025 Ford Maverick  is positioned as an affordable options for buyers in the market for a compact pickup, although as Ford Authority reported previously, it’s quite a bit more expensive for this model year than it was for 2024. In fact, when properly equipped, the 2025 Maverick can cost as much as $44,000.

To start, we’re picking the 2025 Ford Maverick Tremor, which was repositioned as the pickup’s range-topping trim level. Before adding anything and without accounting for the destination freight charge (DFC), the Tremor carries a $39,795 starting price. (For those keeping track, that’s over $7,000 more expensive than it was for 2024.)

From there, we’re choosing the most expensive exterior paint color. While there are no-cost options available, Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat costs $495, bumping the price of the Maverick Tremor even more. The Tremor trim is kitted out already with off-road-ready features right off the showroom floor, but buyers who want things like the moonroof, which features power tilt and slide functionality, should be prepared to shell out $995 for that particular add-on.

Tacking on the optional $530 console vault pushes the 2025 Ford Maverick Tremor over the $44,000 threshold. In fact, accounting for DFC, the total cost of the pickup with all the aforementioned options is $44,050. However, there are quite a few other add-ons that can be fitted to the compact pickup, making it even more expensive – such as a tonneau cover, toolbox swing case, or bed divider kit, just to name a few.

Even though it can get pricey, certain 2025 Maverick trims cost less than the equivalent variants offered for its single rival, the 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz. That’s not the case for the Maverick Tremor, however –  the equivalent Santa Cruz SE AWD costs $30,00 to start, making it the more affordable of the two. The Maverick is also the more cost-effective choice when compared to the Bronco Sport, at least with the EcoBoost engine under the hood, although that engine is slightly less powerful in the pickup than it was before.

Additionally, the 2025 Maverick is one of the few models in The Blue Oval’s lineup that retains its dealer-installed keypad. Production of the Maverick is handled at the Hermosillo Assembly plant in Mexico, and the 2025 model entered production on November 11th, 2024.

  1. Take a great concept: “affordable and practical” and completely abandon it in 3 years!! The only thing worse would be to market it as ST-Line or “BRONCO” something. This company is lost!!
