, we’re seeing the fruits of those investigations. Steeda has now released a set of slotted front and rear brake rotors for the 2025 Explorer ST buyers who want to add some high-performance parts to their crossover.

Steeda’s Ford Mustang brake rotors have proved popular with owners of the iconic pony car, and the company wanted to bring some of that performance to the Ford Explorer ST. The slotted rotors for the crossover are manufactured in-house using CNC machining with a ball-end mill, engineered to deliver precision and quality control. The rotors feature a proprietary slotted groove pattern than ensures cleaner brake pads and promotes outgassing to maximize grip without risk of glazing.

The rotors’ directional vent design allows for maximum airflow through the rotor cores, which helps create efficient cooling to maintain stable disc temperatures and slash peak operating temperatures. As Steeda puts it, the Ford Explorer ST rotors are “backed by decades of racing and performance development expertise” while they “deliver an unparalleled driving experience.”

The rotors are available as a full set for $829.95, while the front set goes for $449.95 and the rears for $399.95. They are engineered to fit any Ford Explorer ST from the 2020 model year and newer.

As a reminder, the 2025 Ford Explorer ST harnesses the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 EcoBoost engine that sends 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels via the 10-speed automatic transmission. In other words, the crossover isn’t a slouch at all, and upgrading the brake rotors helps ensure that it maintains ample stopping power.

Steeda’s available upgrades for the Ford Explorer don’t stop with the rotors. Customers can also enhance the crossover with a differential support system, which includes CNC machined rear differential brace, differential brace bushings, and rear differential bushings.

  1. Look into the Power Stop kit on Rockauto for half the price and includes pads and installation kit.
#869436. I’ve bought their brake and rotor sets for several of my cars.
