Supercars Ford Driver Teams Up With Chevy Rival… To Drive A Ferrari

On track in the Australian Supercars Championship, Chaz Mostert and Will Brown are bitter, but friendly, rivals. However, the Supercars Ford racer and his Chevy competitor will be on the same side for one endurance race, where they’ll co-pilar a Ferrari race car in the forthcoming 2025 Bathurst 12 Hour.

As per a report from Supercars.com, Brown and Mostert will share a Ferrari in the endurance race alongside factory driver Daniel Serra. Brown is the reigning Supercars Champion, having wheeled the No. 87 Chevy Camaro to a decisive points victory in the 2024 season. Mostert, who drives the No. 25 Ford Mustang GT, was a serious threat in the championship before he was mathematically eliminated with only a few rounds left. He finished third in overall points, with only Broc Feeney, Brown’s teammate, standing between them as the runner-up.

Brown, Mostert, and Serra will share the Pro class Ferrari 296 GT3 fielded by Arise Racing GT in the Bathurst 12 Hour. Mostert has a standing relationship with Arise, having won this year’s championship in the GT World Challenge Australia for the team.

“I’m excited to be back with Arise Racing GT, we had an awesome year in GT Australia and it will be great to be teaming up with Will and Daniel as they’re both fantastic drivers,” Mostert said. “Also looking forward to teaming back up with my long-time friend and engineer Adam De Borre. Pumped to keep the momentum going for Arise GT.”

Jordan Oon, Arise Racing GT Team Principal, said he’s looking forward to the partnership, saying, “It would be fair to say that in Will Brown and Chaz Mostert we have two of the best drivers in Australia right now. They raced each other hard in both GT World Challenge and Supercars this year and both are driving better than ever.”

He added, “It’s hugely exciting to pair them together for our first attempt at the Bathurst 12 Hour and have a factory Ferrari pilot in the form of Daniel Serra join them. It’s the strongest possible combination we could put together.”

The Bathurst 12 Hour is scheduled for January 31st through February 2nd, 2025.
