The Lincoln Town Car is one of many luxurious sedans that no longer exist, including many from that particular brand, which transitioned to an all-crossover/SUV lineup years ago. Though it may no longer be sold new, there are plenty of nice, gently used Lincoln Town Car models available on the collector car circuit, however, and we’re starting to see even more as time passes and folks realize that we may never see that model make a comeback. Now, this 1995 Lincoln Town Car joins that list as another suitable target for those in the market for such a machine..
This 1995 Lincoln Town Car is a Signature Series models that’s up for auction at Bring a Trailer with just 42k miles showing on the odometer, and it looks to be in terrific condition. It lived with its original owner until February 2024, which helps explain its time capsule-like condition, though certain panels of its Charcoal Grey Clearcoat Metallic painted exterior were refinished in preparation for this sale.
Inside the cabin, one will find Light Graphite leather-covered seats with some normal wear, along with plenty of woodgrain trim and amenities such as automatic climate control, cruise control, power-adjustable front seats with lumbar, driver-side position memory settings, and folding center armrests. Power comes from the Ford 4.6L V8, which was factory-rated to produce 190 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Underneath, one will find goodies including speed-sensitive variable-assist power steering and four-wheel disc brakes.
In addition to this very nice 1995 Lincoln Town Car, we’ve seen a few other examples from this generation pop up for sale lately. That list includes a pair of 1997 models – a Cordovan Clearcoat Metallic-painted Town Car Signature Series with just 14k original miles, as well as a Light Prairie Tan Clearcoat Metallic example with 70k miles on the clock.

Despite its size, these were so easy to drive. You could see everything and you knew exactly where the ends of the car were. I just drove my wife’s new Buick Encore GX (because my Ford couldn’t handle the cold in the garage and the battery went poof, again) and you can’t see sheet out of it. Is this really necessary?
