Over the past several years, we’ve watched as the prices of older Ford Bronco models have skyrocketed to new heights in a major way. That trend was previously reserved for the first-generation version of Ford’s rugged SUV, but quickly spread to subsequent models as well – all the way up through the 1990s, which is when the Bronco was discontinued, only to return for the 2021 model year and a sixth-generation. Thus, we fully expect this super low-mile 1996 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer to follow suit and command quite a big hammer price when its auction ends, too.
This 1996 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer is up for grabs at Bring a Trailer with a mere 8k miles showing on the odometer, which has a lot to do with the fact that it was part of a private collection for the past 11 years. Now it’s looking for a new home in like-new condition with seemingly perfect Pacific Green Clearcoat Metallic paint with Light Saddle Clearcoat Metallic lower accents – save for a single noted scratch – along with 15-inch forged aluminum wheels wrapped with Goodyear Wrangler tires.
Inside the cabin, one will find front captain’s chairs upholstered in Medium Mocha leather with Eddie Bauer embroidery on the backrests, woodgrain trim accents, and amenities such as power-adjustable lumbar support for the front seats, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, a power-operated tailgate window, and the factory CD stereo system. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 5.8L V8, which in this guise was originally rated to produce 205 horsepower and 328 pound-feet of torque, mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox.
In recent months, we’ve seen a few of these fifth-generation Ford Bronco models surface for sale – including, most recently, a 1996 XLT with a mere 13k miles on the clock, as well as another 1996 that has accumulated far more – 240k miles, in fact, though it still presented in rather nice condition.

Ford needs to bring this colour, Pacific Green back into the system. F-150’s looked great in this colour. The greens they have been using are simply ugly. They need to bring back Reef Blue and Blue Flame as well!!!
The 5.8L is not a V6.
