Long gone but certainly not forgotten, the Ford F-150 SVT Lightning remains a popular entity not only among folks that appreciate a good old fashioned street performance truck, but also, collectors. In that vein, we’ve seen quite a few nice Ford F-150 SVT Lightning pickups hit the auction block over the years, typically garnering solid money – even in the case of examples that have higher miles or modifications. Now, we have yet another stellar example to bid on, too.
That example is this 1999 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning, which is up for auction at Bring a Trailer and barely broken in with just 5k miles showing on the odometer. It’s number 1,632 of 4,000 high-performance pickups produced in this particular model year, and was just purchased by the seller last year. As one might imagine, this Lightning remains in stellar condition with perfect black paint, and is bone stock with the original 18-inch SVT five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped with 295/45 Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.
There aren’t really any bones to pick inside this Ford F-150 SVT Lightning either, as its Medium Graphite cloth and ebony leather-upholstered 60/40 split bench seat remains in great shape, with SVT embroidery adorning the headrests, joined by amenities such as a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a cassette stereo, a six-disc CD changer, air conditioning, and cruise control. Power comes from the supercharged Ford 5.4L V8, which was factory-rated to produce 360 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
This essentially mint Ford F-150 SVT Lightning is just the latest stellar example of the muscular truck we’ve come across lately, too. That list also includes another black 1999 model with an even-lower 2k miles, a red 2000 model with 40k miles on the clock, and a 2001 example that has a super-low 2k miles showing on the odometer, too.
