1999 Lincoln Town Car Limousine With 56K Miles Up For Auction

The Lincoln Town Car is one of many classic sedans sold by Ford’s luxury arm over the years, which have somewhat sadly disappeared from the lineup in favor of crossovers and SUVs. On the bright side, we’re starting to see lots of nice Lincoln Town Car models surface for sale at collector car auctions across the web, and that isn’t just limited to regular-length models. Rather, we’ve seen a handful of Lincoln Town Car limousines pop up for auction lately, and that now includes this 1999 model with just 56k miles on the clock.

This 1999 Lincoln Town Car limo is up for grabs at Cars & Bids, and it’s a super nice example with just a few minor imperfections marring its black exterior paint. It was treated to a full-blown Superior Coaches limousine conversion, which consists of stretching the body, adding a third pair of doors, and stuffing a set of front-facing third-row seats inside the cabin. The long limo is equipped with 16-inch wheels on the outside, along with a Landau roof and tinted windows.

The Town Car limo rides on a self-leveling rear air suspension system for maximum comfort, which is accompanied by leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, air conditioning, cruise control, and heated/power side mirrors. Interestingly, one won’t find features we often see in limos like a wraparound seat, a bar, extra lighting, or anything of that sort – in this case, it’s all about hauling people around in comfort. As for motivation, that comes from the Ford 4.6L V8, which was factory-rated to produce 220 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed transmission.

This is the first Lincoln Town Car limo we’ve seen hit the auction block in a while, but back in 2023, we spotted a pair of them. One was a 2006 example with just 9k miles on the clock, while the other was a 2008 with an even-lower 2k miles.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. When I moonlighted as a chauffeur, I remember livery owners calling these ‘6-packs’. The 6-door cars were rarely used for anything other than business or funerals.

The air bag suspensions were like ticking time bombs. Nothing like driving 14 passengers on a night out with champagne all over their clothes because of a failed air bag.

  2. A waste of money on an outdated car for Commercial Use _ And what you spent on this vehicle at an auction, you put towards a newer vehicle like a Suburban.

This is a great limo for Private Transportation.

  3. I never liked the stupid stretch-to it’s-Limits. I preferred Executive type limousines they had 3′ stretch. Equipped with Window w/Solid Divider, dual facing passenger seating, center console w/TV/VCR/Phone. Bradford produced one of the coolest stretches I ever sold. The Chauffer had a button under the seat tat would unlatch the full center of the stretch, it was made for those that had trouble entering through the standard doors.
