2001 Ford Crown Victoria With 53K Miles Up For Auction

Gone but certainly not forgotten, the Ford Crown Victoria remains a favorite among a wide variety of folks ranging from taxi cab drivers to law enforcement officers to those that just love big, comfortable, old fashioned, V8-powered, rear-wheel drive American sedans. Unfortunately, that sort of thing doesn’t really exist anymore, leaving those same people looking at the used market. Luckily, there are some very nice Ford Crown Victoria examples up for grabs at collector car auction sites on a regular basis, including this 2001 model that has just 53k miles on the clock.

This 2001 Ford Crown Victoria is up for auction at Bring a Trailer in excellent condition after spending its entire life with the original owner – at least, until the seller acquired it in 2023. The current owner added 21k miles to the odometer over that time span, clearly enjoying their big sedan, but now, the Silver Frost Clearcoat Metallic painted Crown Vic is looking for a new home. That paint has been touched up a bit, but still looks quite nice – especially when paired with a set of black 16-inch steel wheels.

Peek inside the cabin, and one will find lots of Graphite cloth covering the seating areas and woodgrain trim, along with just a few amenities, including a CD stereo, cruise control, and air conditioning. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.6L V8, which in this guise was factory rated to send 200 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission.

Nicer, low-mile Ford Crown Victoria sedans are seemingly still pretty easy to find these days, as we come across them quite frequently – including this 63k-mile 2004 LX that just hit the auction block last August. There are also some more special, rare variants such as the “Cobra Vic” once used at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in Chandler, Arizona, to teach students the fine art of driving on the track, too.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
