Long known for building and selling a large variety of luxurious sedans, Lincoln transitioned to crossovers and SUVs a few years ago. However, Ford’s luxury vehicle making arm also tried its hand at selling pickups on two different occasions, via the one-year-only Lincoln Blackwood and the Lincoln Mark LT, both of which were based on the Ford F-150. The Blackwood has since become a bit of a collector’s item, but we also see a Lincoln Mark LT pop up for sale at auction from time to time as well, and that now includes this very nice 2006 example.
This 2006 Lincoln Mark LT is up for auction at Bring a Trailer with 47k miles showing on the odometer, and it remained in the possession of the original owner and their family until it was acquired by the selling dealer recently. There are no noted flaws marring its Arizona Beige Metallic paint or chrome lower accents, which isn’t terribly surprising given its low mileage total and short ownership history, but it’s still impressive, regardless. The same goes for the chrome 18-inch eight-spoke wheels, which are wrapped with 265/60 Goodyear Wrangler SR-A tires.
Inside the cabin, one will find plenty of luxuries including Light Parchment leather upholstery with Espresso piping, an AM/FM stereo with a six-disc CD changer, a second-row overhead DVD player, rear-seat audio controls, wireless headphones, driver-seat position memory settings, power-adjustable pedals, automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and locks, and heated power-adjustable front bucket seats. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated 5.4L V8, which was factory-rated to produce 300 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
We tend to come across Lincoln Mark LT pickups on the collector car auction circuit quite frequently, and this 2006 model is just the latest example of that. We spotted another 2006 Mark LT with 78k miles on the clock last November, and a 2007 model with 57k miles not too long ago as well.
