2019 Ford Flex, Fiesta, And Lincoln MKT Recalled Over Rear Camera

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2019 Ford Flex, Fiesta, and Lincoln MKT models over an issue with the rear camera.

The defect: in affected vehicles, the rearview camera may intermittently display a blank or distorted image.

The hazards: a rearview camera that displays a blank or distorted image can reduce the driver’s view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Affected vehicles: select 2019 Ford Flex models models produced between May 1^st, 2019, and December 2^nd, 2019, Fiesta vehicles built from June 3^rd, 2019 to August 1^st, 2019, and Lincoln MKT models produced between June 3^rd, 2019 and October 11^th, 2019.

Number of vehicles affected: 30,715

The fix: a remedy is under development.

Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on February 3^rd, 2025. The Ford reference number for this recall is 24S75.
