2020 Ford GT Owned By DJ Marshmello Heading To Auction

The Ford GT is a special machine no matter which generation or variant one is talking about – a sporty, ultra-high-performance and downright attractive ride that has endeared itself not only to Blue Oval fans, but also, automotive enthusiasts in general. Those qualities have also made the Ford GT a popular choice among celebrities and famous folks – a list that includes the Grammy-nominated artist DJ Marshmello, it seems, as he owns this 2020 Ford GT Liquid Carbon Edition model that’s now set to be auctioned off.

This Ford GT is set to be sold at Barrett-Jackson’s flagship Scottsdale auction, coming straight from the notoriously eclectic collection of DJ Marshmello himself. As many are well aware, ticking the Liquid Carbon option box wasn’t cheap – it cost an extra $250,000, in fact – and only 30 were built in total, including this one, which is number five of that small group and has a mere 87 miles showing on the odometer. That massive outlay of cash netted one an exposed carbon fiber body, along with an array of other nifty options.

Other notable options on this particular GT – aside from the factory twin turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine that cranks out 660 horsepower and 550 pound-feet of torque – include an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, 20-inch gloss carbon-fiber wheels, Voodoo Blue mirror caps (a $7,500 option), blue-painted Brembo brake calipers (an extra $1,250), six-point harness anchors ($2,500), a leather-wrapped steering wheel ($250), and titanium lug nuts (adding another $1,250).

This Ford GT Liquid Carbon Edition comes with its original owner’s manual, window sticker, keys, Ford Design-spec color palette case, and a Ford Performance lithium-ion battery charger, while the exterior has been preserved with a clear wrap that cost a cool $8,950 to apply. The car is also being sold with a matching carbon-fiber helmet and a VIP experience in Las Vegas for the winning bidder, making it even more enticing for those that have the funds to purchase such an amazing machine.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
