2022 Ford F-150 Hybrid With Raptor Upgrade Kit Up For Auction

The Ford F-150 Raptor has been a smash hit since the day it launched over a decade ago, and is currently in its third generation – and as popular as ever. Aside from factory-built OEM Raptors, a number of aftermarket companies also offer a variety of similarly upgraded models as well, giving those seeking a high-performance off-road pickup plenty of choices in that regard. However, a Ford F-150 Raptor Hybrid doesn’t currently exist, though one can get the next best thing in this custom build.

This 2022 Ford F-150 Platinum PowerBoost hybrid pickup is up for grabs at Cars & Bids with all of the typical Raptor upgrades, making it pretty much as close as one can get to an OEM-style build. The seller installed a Pax Power Raptor Conversion Kit on the factory model, which includes a Raptor-style body kit, 17-inch wheels (which are now wrapped with 37-inch tires), factory Fox shocks, plus upper and lower control arms.

Otherwise, this is a nicely-equipped pickup with features such as heated, ventilated, and power-adjustable front seats, power-adjustable pedals, a wireless charger, the 12-inch infotainment touchscreen, the 18-speaker B&O Unleashed sound system, and Ford Co-Pilot360 Active 2.0. In this case, power comes from the twin turbocharged 3.5L V6 PowerBoost hybrid, which is rated to produce 430 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque and is mated to the 10-speed automatic transmission.

This hybrid Ford F-150 Raptor clone is an interesting addition to the typical models we see at auction on a regular basis, if nothing else. That list includes the heavily-upgraded Shelby Baja Raptor, which has surfaced for sale on multiple occasions as of late, as well as the Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 – all of which sport the more conventional twin turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost powerplant that comes in the regular Raptor from the factory, albeit with some upgrades to coax more power out of it.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. Fun to see one of our Raptor conversion builds on here! We’ve only done a few of the PowerBoost trucks into Raptors, so this is a really rare build!
