2025 Ford Bronco Black Diamond Switch Up Explained

Positioned as an affordable but well-equipped trim, the Ford Bronco Black Diamond was first introduced for the off-road SUV’s 2021 model year. However, the Black Diamond trim level was nixed with the advent of the 2025 Ford Bronco as one of its myriad changes and updates, but it wasn’t killed off completely – it lives on in the form of the optional Black Diamond Package.

In other words, the Black Diamond moniker no longer denotes a trim level, but rather an optional package. Offered exclusively on the 2025 Ford Bronco Big Bend trim, the Black Diamond Package bundles much of the same equipment that was formerly included on the trim level before it was demoted. And while it’s no longer a trim level, Black Diamond-equipped models still receive a wealth of off-road-ready options to make the stock Bronco even more capable right off the showroom floor.

Specifically, the Black Diamond Package is available for $4,495, and includes the following equipment:

  • Advanced 4×4 with Automatic On Demand Engagement
  • Auxiliary Switches with Pre-Run Accessory Wires located in Overhead Console with Front Map Lights
  • Bumpers, Front and Rear – Powder Coated Steel
  • Full Vehicle Steel Bash Plates
  • Interior Grab Handles, Front Row – One in the Center Floor Console, Passenger Side
  • LED Fog Lamps
  • Rock Rails
  • Rubberized Flooring – Washout capable with drain plugs
  • 17-inch Black High Gloss-Painted Aluminum
  • LT265/70R17 All-Terrain (A/T) (32”) Tires and Full size spare tire with TPMS
  • 4.46 Final Drive Ratio with Open Front Differential and Electronic-locking Rear Axle

For reference, the 2025 Ford Bronco with the Black Diamond Package costs $47,455 including destination freight charges (DFC). Comparatively, the 2024 Ford Bronco Black Diamond trim is priced at $45,920 including DFC.

The Black Diamond trim was one of four that were removed from the 2025 Ford Bronco as The Blue Oval simplified its model line, joining Wildtrak, Everglades, and Heritage Limited Edition, which also went the wayside. However, it was the only trim level to be reimagined as an optional package.

Production of the 2025 Ford Bronco occurs at the Michigan Assembly plant, and will start on January 25th, 2025 as reported by Ford Authority. The Blue Oval elected to trim production of the off-road SUV as demand levels off.
