As Ford Authority reported last July, the 2025 Ford Mustang dropped four colors from its available list of hues for the new model year – Atlas Blue Metallic, Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Yellow Splash Metallic Tri-Coat, and Dark Matter Gray Metallic – while also gaining Molten Magenta Metallic Tri-Coat, Wimbledon White, and Intense Lime Yellow Metallic. We got our first look at Intense Lime Yellow Metallic just a couple of weeks ago, and now, Ford Authority has spotted a pair of 2025 Ford Mustang models painted that same color for the first time – in both coupe and convertible guise.
Here, we get a good look at a 2025 Ford Mustang EcoBoost coupe and a GT Premium convertible, both finished in Intense Lime Yellow Metallic. The EcoBoost coupe appears to be equipped with the optional Nite Pony Package, albeit without the painted roof. It’s also sporting painted front calipers, interestingly enough, which are not currently an option on the EcoBoost or EcoBoost Premium.
Intense Lime Yellow Metallic will be available on the 2025 Ford Mustang as part of Job 2 production, which is set to begin in late February, under the paint code B7 as a $295 option. Customers can pair this hue with both the EcoBoost and GT models, but not the Dark Horse, nor with the Carmine Red interior color. Otherwise, Intense Lime Yellow Metallic can’t be paired with certain packages including the California Special and 60th Anniversary Package, and is limited in terms of the Wheel and Stripe Package as it can only be combined with the Black Step Opacity Fade stripes.
As Ford Authority previously reported, Job 1 2025 Ford Mustang production at the Flat Rock Assembly plant kicked off back on November 4th, 2024, ushering in a few changes for the pony car in the S650 generation’s second year of existence. That includes the addition of the aforementioned 60th Anniversary Package – of which a select few will be finished in Brittany Blue – as well as standard dual-zone climate control and expanded availability of the B&O sound system. The 2025 Ford Mustang lineup is dropping its wireless charger, however, and will cost notably more than the 2024 model.

After so many complaints about “the boring 4” colors, automakers have swung the pendulum – too far- by introing in-your-face blues and greens that look fine on small and sporty vehicles but not on the rest. But they put in on the rest. This is fine on the Mustang, but leave it there.
We got it, you hate everything and won’t be a customer regardless of the color choices but you’re the spokesperson for what actual cash holding customers ARE buying.
I hate the current state of the auto industry, as do many. Check out Carscoops, for example. I’m FAR from alone. Praising mediocrity helps no one and certainly not Ford.
I OWN a Ford, you moron. But after all the EcoBoost engine failures, which I haven’t had, yet, chances of my buying another one at this point, are slim but not impossible.
So much HATE!! WTF?
That SCEcoBoost guy is an absolute @sshat. Has way too much time on his hands. Comments something negative within the first 2min of an article coming out. I don’t know how there isn’t a ‘block’ feature on Ford Authority.
Retired and an “@sshat” only because the auto industry is on the edge of a cliff. If YOU haven’t noticed, there’s no helping you. Or you’re 12. Or both.
I assure you the automotive world will survive and move on without you. You don’t provide anything useful on this forum. This isn’t your personal diary page.
Meh. I wish they’d keep Grabber Green and Grabber Blue (non-metallic) as color options every year. Honestly the new Mustang hasn’t grown on me yet either. Each angle I see it from it reminds me of another car….Camaro, Nissan Z, BMW M3, etc. 🙁
This color is the opposite of intense. That has to be the worst choice of yellow for a sports car iv ever seen.
I agree. Looks kind of blah, not intense at all. Mopar had an intense yellow back in the 70’s. I Mustang would look good in that. One of the reasons I bought a Velocity Blue Maverick over the Santa Cruz is their colors were all so blah!
Amen, I was thinking the same thing. There are only a few colors that look great on a Mustang.
Exterior Colors: Black, Red, White, Silver, Charcoal
Interior Trim Colors: Tan, White, Black, Gray, Red
Convertible Tops: Black, Tan. White, Gray, & Red
I would have to see this color in person before I weigh in. I remember Chevy had a butternut yellow in the late 1960’s that was great. Especially with a black convertible or vinyl top. So it might look ok.
I own a 2024 Shadow Black GT Premium. I bought BLACK since most other Mustang colors were IMHO undesirable or unavailable. Over the years, Mustang has had some really great, beautiful colors. This new yellow is the worst!
I like colors on cars (white has its place in the desert), but grays and silvers are too utilitarian. I really liked the sulfur “Yellowstone” on the Bronco Heritage Limited, but it’s gone. I currently have a ‘19 Mustang GT in “Orange Fury”, which everyone likes (but it’s more like Orange sherbet). Have a Ruby Red F-350. Next vehicle will be a Ruby Red Bronco with painted white roof. But I really don’t like this “lime yellow”, but that’s just me.
Vomit Green….. NO THANKS
….m-m-m-m-m…..wonder……blue outside with red interior …….
I have a feeling that this color will look much better in the bright sunlight and in person, I’ll reserve judgment until then
Sure looks a lot like Inca Gold that was featured on the last 82 Thunderbirds produced (2005 models).
