It wasn’t too terribly long ago when Lincoln was poised to add multiple all-electric vehicles to its lineup, but much has changed over the past year or so. With demand for EVs trailing behind expected levels of growth, Ford’s luxury arm isn’t currently focused on electrification, meaning that it has nothing to directly rival the Cadillac Lyriq – though Ford Authority did spot the automaker benchmarking that model in 2023. Thus, the closest competitor to the all-new performance-focused 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V that The Blue Oval has to offer is the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT.
The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V just debuted, according to our sister site GM Authority, and it carries on the tradition of high performance variants from that brand that utilize the “V” name. The Lyriq-V is notable in that it’s the very first all-electric model to wear that badge, however, and it backs that up with a pair of electric motors churning out a combined 615 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque – good for a 0-60 time of 3.3 seconds, at least, when Velocity Max mode is activated. Drawing power from a 102 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the Cadillac Lyriq-V is estimated to travel 285 miles on a single charge, and thanks to DC fast charging capability, it can add up to 75 miles of range in just 10 minutes, or go up to 80 percent in around 41 minutes.
The performance goodies don’t stop there, as the Lyriq-V is also equipped with advanced adaptive valve-based damper technology underneath, along with Continuously Variable Electric Power Steering, a a five-link independent suspension with Continuous Damping Control, and Brembo brakes with beefy rotors measuring 15.35 inches up front and 13.6 inches in the rear. The high-performance EV crossover rolls on a set of 22-inch wheels, which are wrapped with 275/40 summer tires – though all-seasons can be had as an option.
In terms of appearances, the Cadillac Lyriq-V differentiates itself from the regular model thanks to a unique front fascia with a Black Crystal Shield grille and choreographed lighting, side rockers with body-color lower trim, a black-painted roof, available carbon fiber accents, and of course, V-Series badging throughout. Inside, one will find a 33-inch display, Augmented Reality Head Up Display, and a 23-speaker AKG stereo. The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V starts out at $79,990 with destination charges included, with deliveries expected to begin early this year.

If it´s a SUV or a crossover, I´m not interested.
Too bad for you and good for me!
I’d imagine that since it’s an SUV or a CUV, a lot (the majority of the car buying public) of people are interested.
They are not the same, except for electric power and four wheels. I have seen and sat in both. The Lyriq is bigger with more luxury and a much larger dashboard and infortainment screen, from door to door.
And it is more expensive. Wait until the Optiq-V arrives, then make a closer comparison.
