6×6 Ford Super Duty Splits Car In Half Upon Impact: Video

What does one do with a custom 6X6 Ford Super Duty pickup? Drive it straight through traffic, of course. Apparently, the owner of one Super Duty took that too literally, wielding their six-wheeler like a weapon on a jaunt down the street. But look closer, because not everything may be what it seems in this viral video.

The details on this Ford Super Duty build are slim, but it’s absolutely massive, towering over traffic as it lumbers down the road. It’s even wrapped to look like a war machine, sporting a digital camo livery to compliment its overkill six-wheel-drive drivetrain. It’s even been fitted with a grille guard, presumably to protect its grille from stunts such as this.

An unfortunate sedan, which appears to be a third-generation Hyundai Accent decides to pull a left-hand turn right in front of the 6X6 Ford Super Duty, and it doesn’t stand a chance. The Super Duty clips it in the rear, sending it spinning and splitting its back half from its front half. The Super Duty drives on, triumphant, but as the dust settles, an interesting detail emerges. The break between the Accent doors appears clean, perhaps too clean.

Pausing the video right at the moment of impact reveals a near-perfect seam opening in the Accent body before its rear doors and axle separate from the rest of the sedan. The video cuts away before the camera can get a good view, but it appears that the back seats and other interior pieces have been preemptively removed as well. In other words, this video looks to have been staged, meaning someone performed surgery on the Accent before the Ford Super Duty touched it. The Super Duty just helped it along.

This isn’t the first time a Ford Super Duty has been the subject of a viral video. Another pickup took a ridiculous detour onto a school’s football field, although this one had been stolen and was being taken for a joyride. Someone else had the brilliant idea to trick their Ford F-450 into driving itself with BlueCruise, and another swerved into the path of an oncoming semi truck and was, unsurprisingly, obliterated.
