The all-new Ford Ranger PHEV debuted back in September 2023 as the very first electrified version of the mid-size pickup, one that pairs the 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost gas engine with a 75kW electric motor and an 11.8kWh battery pack to provide a targeted 45 kilometers (28 miles) of all-electric driving range and 3,500 kilograms (7,716 pounds) of max towing capacity, as well as deliver 279 PS (275 horsepower) and 690 Nm of torque (509 pound-feet). Now, we’re learning even more about the Ford Ranger PHEV as the electrified pickup prepares to launch in select markets such as Australia.
According to CarExpert, the Ford Ranger PHEV will be available in a number of trims including Sport, XLT, Wildtrak, and the limited-edition Stormtrack, but those models will also look a bit different than ones equipped with the standard powertrains. There is “PHEV” badging present on the XLT trim pickup near the front wheel arches, more aerodynamic wheels, and what appear to be halogen lights, versus the LEDs present on diesel variants. The Sport gets the same badging and a new wheel design, too.
As for the Wildtrak, it’s equipped with its own unique wheel design in PHEV guise, while the Stormtrack is finished in a unique shade called Chill Grey, accented by unique wheels with the same-colored highlights, body-color trim, “Ranger” lettering on the hood, thicker roof rails, matrix LED headlights, the 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio setup, and the Flexible Rack System. Ford Ranger PHEV models are the only ones that will come with external power outlets, too.
The Ford Ranger PHEV has four special drive modes as well – Auto EV, EV Now, EV Later, and EV Charge. The plug-in hybrid pickup will be built at the automaker’s Silverton Assembly plant in South Africa, with deliveries expected to begin next year in select markets including Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, though pricing has yet to be revealed.

Very disappointing the Ranger PHEV is not available in the U.S.
I second that it would steal the show if it was available here. I guess Ford is going to wait til everyone has one here to lanuch it in the states. Ford NA has to protect the F150 and Ranger be dammed.
Third here, this seems pretty cool
