Ford EV Power Promise Incentive Package Extended Into 2025

Last September, Ford debuted what it calls the Power Promise – which offers retail customers that purchase or lease a Ford Mustang Mach-E, Ford F-150 Lightning, or E-Transit a free home charger when they take delivery of those vehicles, plus free standard installation. The concept of the program is to make it easier for Ford EV buyers to set up home charging without having to figure out which charger is best for their application or working to find a reputable installer, and they’re obviously saving money as well. The Ford Power Promise program was set to expire on January 2nd, 2025, but now, it has been extended.

Ford is extending its Power Promise program through March 31st, 2025 after coming off a record year for EV sales in 2024, giving those that purchase or lease a Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, and E-Transit Cargo Van  a complimentary home charger and standard installation at their home for free. Customers also get 24/7 support via a team of dedicated Ford advisors in the event that they need assistance with things such as charging, and the automaker is providing free roadside assistance, too.

Thus far, Ford EV customers in all 50 states have taken advantage of the Power Promise program, which makes sense given not only the fact that it provides them with a free charger and installation, but also, 85 percent of EV owners charge their vehicles at home, currently. Ford notes that since the Power Promise program began, the average timeframe from
quote to installation of a home charger is 11 days, with an installation satisfaction score of 96 percent. Meanwhile, 85 percent of complimentary charger installations have been fully
covered by Ford at no extra cost to the customer, and access to EV support increased with 24/7 Live Support enrollment up 487 percent, year-over-year, in December.

“This program is awesome…I wouldn’t own an electric vehicle yet without the ability to charge at home,” said Katie, a Ford EV Power Promise customer. “Sure, I could have had a home charger installed on my own but wouldn’t know where to start or what questions to ask. To know that I don’t have to think ‘what’s the gas price today?’ and fill up in the Wisconsin cold is great. I can just unplug and go!”

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. NOW! NOW Ford does this after I purchased a First Edition Mustang Mach E in 2021 and paid over $1500 for a charger and installation! Grrrrrrr!
