Ford Everest Wildtrak Revived For Australian Market

The Ford Everest Wildtrak debuted in certain markets back in 2023 – including South Africa and Australia – as a more off-road-focused version of the new SUV, much like the Ranger Wildtrak does for mid-size pickups. However, that same model was absent from the lineup in Australia for the 2024 model year, a move that came as The Blue Oval faced strong demand for the Ranger-based SUV, in general. Now, the Ford Everest Wildtrak is set to make a return to that country for 2025.

“Following last year’s sales, and the sell-out success of Everest Wildtrak in 2023, it made perfect sense to bring the badge back to Australia,” Ford Australia Everest product & retail marketing manager George Thomas confirmed to CarExpert. “For the past 16 years, Wildtrak has been synonymous with the Ranger brand, and once again we are offering customers in Australia the opportunity to enjoy the same legendary reputation as the ute, but in a practical and luxurious SUV body style.”

A total of 950 examples of the 2025 Ford Everest Wildtrak will be sold in Australia, with deliveries expected to begin in Q1 of this year. However, it will be a bit more expensive than before – $3,860 more, specifically, with a new price tag of $76,950 – the same as the Everest Tremor. On the outside, the Wildtrak gets its own unique front grille, Bolder Gray accents, a bash plate and available skid plates to protect its undersides, the Wildtrak-exclusive exterior color Luxe Yellow, and standard 20-inch wheels with 255/55 tires or optional 18-inch units wrapped with 255/65 all-terrain rubber.

The new Ford Everest Wildtrak is powered by the same turbocharged Ford 3.0L V6 diesel engine as the range-topping Platinum, which is mated to the 10-speed gearbox and a permanent four-wheel drive system. There is one notable update for the 2025 model year, however – the addition of a 400W power inverter with an outlet located inside the cabin, which wasn’t present in the 2023 model.
