Ford Explorer ST Gloriously Drifts Through Snowy Lot: Video

With winter weather descending on much of the U.S. this week, many will be playing it extra cautious out on the roadways – which is a good thing, of course, given the high number of accidents we tend to see occur this time of year. However, for those that are more skilled at the art of driving and have access to a safe, closed-off area, the snow and ice can also provide one with the opportunity to have a little fun by losing traction on purpose. That’s certainly on clear display in this video featuring a Ford Explorer ST out playing in the snow, too.

Posted to the Facebook group Ford Explorer ST Forum by Michaela Cotter, this video shows the high-performance SUV in a parking lot ripping off some donuts in the snow, with no one else anywhere nearby, thankfully. This action occurred in St Louis, Missouri, with the traction control turned off, providing maximum fun, it seems. Of course, this is just the latest of several clips we’ve seen of various Blue Oval models sliding around in the snow in recent years – a list that includes the Ford F-150 Raptor and Ford Bronco, to name just a couple.

As for the Ford Explorer ST, it – along with the rest of the Explorer lineup – was just treated to a refresh for the 2025 model year that ushered in a number of notable updates. Along with the typical updated front and rear fascias, the refreshed Explorer also gets a few notable revisions inside the cabin, such as a redesigned dash containing a larger infotainment screen running the new Ford Digital Experience software.

As for the high-performance 2025 Ford Explorer ST, specifically, it also got another change as part of its Job 2 production update recently – it gained the Sun and Sound Package, which adds a host of notable features such as the 14-speaker B&O sound system with a subwoofer, multicountour seats with Active Motion in the front, and the Panoramic Vista Roof with Power Shade, all for an extra cost of $2,995.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
