In the vast world of car crashes, there are varying types of incidents ranging from minor, slow-speed fender benders that don’t result in any kind of injuries all the way up to high-speed head-on collisions, which can oftentimes destroy vehicles and lead to major injuries – or even deaths. Unfortunately, these types of accidents can sometimes be difficult to avoid, especially when another driver is barreling toward us at high speed. That was precisely the case recently when a Ford F-150 driver jumped a median and smashed directly into a Tesla Model Y, too.

In this video recently posted on Reddit, we get a first-person view of this wild accident, courtesy of the Tesla Model Y’s own cameras. The driver was just tooling along like normal when the Ford F-150 driver suddenly veered left and drove directly over the grassy median, smashing into the front of the EV crossover at a relatively high rate of speed. We also get a look at the rear video of this incident, which reveals that a Prince George County, Maryland police officer was directly behind the Model Y when all of this happened, it seems, which was quite convenient.

Luckily, the Model Y driver noted that he walked away with no injuries, other than bruising caused by the seatbelt. The same can’t be said for the Ford F-150 driver and passenger, who reported suffered some more serious injuries and had to be taken to the hospital. The F-150 driver didn’t have insurance either, and apparently had a suspended license and a number of tickets already.

This is just the latest of many head-on collisions we’ve seen happen lately, unfortunately. Not too long ago, we watched as a Focus was hit head-on by another F-150, and Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth – the husband and wife musicians of Talking Heads fame – were hit head-on by a drunk driver while cruising down Post Road, U.S. Route 1 in their Ford Escape Hybrid a couple of years ago, too.
