Ford Motor Company sales increased 4.2 percent to 2,078,832 units during the 2024 calendar year in the United States. Sales increased at both the namesake Ford brand as well as at Lincoln.
“The Ford Motor Company strategy of offering customers a variety of powertrains and vehicle types helped Ford grow retail sales in last year,” Ford said in a statement. “The Ford F-Series best illustrates the company’s Freedom of Choice strategy with gas, diesel, hybrid and electric models. All of these F-Series versions saw year-over-year sales growth in the final month of 2024,” the automaker added.
FoMoCo Sales Notes – U.S. – 2024 Calendar Year
- Total Ford Motor Company sales during 2024 increased 4.2 percent to 2,078,832 units
- The Ford F-Series was America’s best-selling truck for the 48th year in a row and America’s best-selling vehicle for the 43rd year in a row
- Sales of the full-size truck line totaled 765,649 units last year, including 33,510 deliveries of the all-electric F-150 Lightning
- Total Ford electrified vehicle sales, which include hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric models, increased 38 percent to a record 285,291 units
- Ford was the best-seller of hybrid trucks with an estimated 76 percent segment share and the second best-selling electric vehicle brand in the U.S. in the 2024 year
- Lincoln achieved best retail sales in 17 years (since 2007) as sales volume increased 28 percent on sales of 104,823 units
- FoMoCo consolidated its position as America’s number one seller of commercial vehicles
- Ford commercial vans topped the sales charts for the 46th consecutive year

- Ford sales increased 3.13 percent to 1,974,009 units
- Ford Bronco sales increased 3.32 percent to 109,172 units
- Ford Bronco Sport sales decreased 2.18 percent to 124,701 units
- Ford E-Series sales decreased 5.07 percent to 40,778 units
- Ford E-Transit sales increased 64.36 percent to 29,193 units
- Ford Edge sales decreased 37.38 percent to 66,436 units
- Ford Escape sales increased 4.18 percent to 146,859 units
- Ford Expedition sales increased 6.32 percent to 78,035 units
- Ford Explorer sales increased 3.91 percent to 194,094 units
- Ford F-150 Lightning sales increased 38.67 percent to 33,510 units
- Ford F-Series sales increased 0.76 percent to 732,139 units
- Ford Heavy Trucks sales decreased 6.23 percent to 13,671 units
- Ford Maverick sales increased 39.43 percent to 131,142 units
- Ford Mustang sales decreased 9.47 percent to 44,003 units
- Ford Mustang Mach-E sales increased 26.92 percent to 51,745 units
- Ford Ranger sales increased 42.90 percent to 46,205 units
- Ford Transit sales increased 15.49 percent to 140,128 units
- Ford Transit Connect sales decreased 51.35 percent to 8,781 units
- Lincoln sales increased 28.12 percent to 104,823
- Lincoln Aviator sales increased 62.27 percent to 25,235 units
- Lincoln Corsair sales increased 12.83 percent to 27,513 units
- Lincoln Nautilus sales increased 50.18 percent to 36,544 units
- Lincoln Navigator sales decreased 11.50 percent to 15,531 units
