Ford Mustang GT Performance Manual Gets Limited Release In Brazil

The all-new 2024 Ford Mustang GT was unveiled for the Brazilian market back in March 2024, and the initial shipment of those models sold out in record time. That first batch consisted only of one particular model and configuration – what’s known as the Ford Mustang GT Performance, which comes equipped with the 5.0L V8 Coyote engine and the 10-speed automatic transmission, among other goodies. However, as Ford Authority reported this past December, customers in Brazil were slated to get a manual gearbox option as well, and now, that has officially happened.

Pony car fans in Brazil will indeed be able to spec their new Ford Mustang GT Performance with a six-speed manual transmission, but only in very limited quantities – in fact, The Blue Oval only plans to sell 200 of them in the South American country in total. This fact will be proudly on display via a numbered plate applied next to the shifter, though additional details about this special model won’t be released until we get closer to its launch.

The Ford Mustang GT Performance model is the only pony car currently available in Brazil, but it also comes equipped with an array of desirable equipment. That starts with what’s under the hood – the 5.0L V8 Coyote engine, as previously mentioned, which in this guise generates 488 horsepower, along with the Remote Rev feature, which FoMoCo’s Brazilian engineering team helped develop.

Other notable mechanical upgrades include the MagneRide suspension system, stabilizer bars taken from the last-gen Mach 1, Brembo brakes with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers, and unique wheels wrapped with P-Zero 255/40 R19 tires up front and 275/40 R19 in the rear. The Brazilian 2024 Ford Mustang GT Performance is available in eight colors – Zadar Red, Arizona Red, Estoril Blue, Algarve Blue, Arctic White, Torres Gray, Catalonia Gray, and Asturias Black – and features a starting price of R$529,000 ($106,235 USD).

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
